& to think Empire couldn't get any crazier! What the hell was that!! I am still in shock. I don't even know where to start with this recap.
I guess we will start with Giselle. I am so happy she found out about Kingsley's secret. To be honest, I still can't believe he is Lucious' son. That's insane and when did this love affair happen?? Before Cookie or while Cookie was doing time in prison?? Ugh. More drama.
Anyway, now that Giselle knows his secret, she finally has the power - which I am not thrilled about because I don't like her, but Kingsley is the worst and he needs to go.
I'm getting chills just thinking about it, but what did you guys think about Bella finding Hakeem's gun?? My heart was in my stomach as I was watching this scene. I can only imagine what happened next.
The winter finale aired today and I don't know if I want to watch it. I might cry. We are going to find out who dies and I am praying it is not Bella. She's a little girl. OMG. I can see why gun laws are so important in this world and why the debate of owning a gun exists because things as shown in Empire can happen.
The fact that this episode ended with Bella pointing the gun to her chin makes my stomach turn into knots. What do you think is going to happen?? I'm scared to find out.
Let's talk about something else, please. Phew!! I don't think Kai should have gotten mad at Jamal for announcing their engagement on live television. Jamal was excited and wanted to share that with the world. Is that so wrong??
Oh! This brings me to another point, I don't think Kai should have took that reporting case that Lucious gave him. It seems dangerous and I think Jamal sees that because he was against it as well. But, reporters love big, juicy cases that no one else is reporting on. Kai is hungry for information.
Shoot. I forgot that Lucious found out about Cookie's 4 million dollar condo! I was so upset because he thinks Cookie doesn't love him. She clearly does! I do think she should have told him. There was no reason for keeping it a secret because their relationship was different this time. However, I thought it was messed up (putting it lightly) that Cookie's sister spilled the beans. She did that for revenge, obviously.
Do you think Cookie and Lucious will get through this hurdle in their relationship?? I sure hope so. They were going so strong & I loved it.
Next week we'll talk about the Empire winter finale. I'm definitely not ready.
