Deirdre St John
Hot Chocolate in a Crock Pot
"Brrr, Baby it's cold outside"

I know it's that time of year where we could all use a cup of hot cocoa. I don't blame you. It's getting colder and colder outside. I noticed this Thanksgiving it was going to be the coldest that it's ever been, so I made a hot chocolate bar.
I'm sorry I don't have any pictures of my setup, but the preparation is easy and so is the recipe. Follow along and you should be fine :).

Ingredients:
1/4 cup of unsweetened cocoa powder
1 14 oz can of sweetened condensed milk
6 cups of whole milk
2 cups of heavy whipping cream
2 teaspoons of pure vanilla extract
2 cups of semi-sweet chocolate chips
mini marshmallows for serving
Don't talk out your pan to boil chocolate and milk. Combine all of the ingredients into your crockpot.
Cover and cook on low heat for about 2 hours. Stirring occasionally as it warms up.

It's ready when all of the chocolate chips have melted and the mixture is warm.
Scoop into mugs and top with marshmallows, whipped cream and a mini candy cane :).
Stay warm & drink hot cocoa!
