Chapter Forty: The Great Escape
Season three of Riverdale took a turn down creepy lane with a new town mystery. A lot of people don't like where the show is going, but I don't mind it. I think its because I am so invested in these characters and their stories.
Moving on to the recap, I hate that Archie is locked up for a crime that he didn't commit. Hiram is a dirty snake and I never liked him. He thinks he can do whatever he wants and can get away with it. Can someone catch him, already??
Veronica, being the lovely girlfriend that she is, wants to break out her boyfriend, Archie. At first, I didn't think it was good idea. But once I saw her plan, I have to admit that it was well thought out. She literally planned everything to a 'T'. I mean, how amazing was Veronica's escape plan?? It was so good! I honestly can't stop thinking about it. Go, V! (for standing up to your father and saving your boo, I would do the same...maybe).
*BOOM* Smoke Bombs Go Off - I love how Archie tried to save Maddog from jail too. Unfortunately, he already tried to escape through the drain on the fighting stage and couldn't fit. It was sad because I really liked Maddog. I thought he was a good friend for Archie while he was locked up. I loved how he was helping Archie escape by fighting off the guards.
Oh! How could I forget about the board game that Jughead is playing with the Serpents. That board game is very strange and not a board game that I would bring to game night. Wasn't it weird that the board game was matching up with the escape plan?? I didn't expect that. But, now I can see how the game can come off the board - it's scary. What if that could really happen?? I couldn't even imagine it. Nor do I want to. *shudders.*
Jughead needs to stop playing Griffins & Gargoyles. Betty says this board game is dangerous and I agree with her 110%. However, Jug is not going to stop until he masters the game, so he can defeat the Gargoyle King.
Snap!! Can we talk about the ending of this episode?? I knew something was going to happen when Jug was walking home by himself. This is why you NEVER walk home alone. What was he thinking. Ugh.
Jughead saw a bunch of Gargoyles (is that what they are called?? I don't even know. All I know is that they are creepy). I hope at the beginning of next episode he is running away from them and not standing there - waiting to get attacked.
The next episode of Riverdale looks intense! I love this show so much. I still can't believe it's based off the Archie comic books. I used to read them when I was a kid.
